It Just Takes One to make a difference- will you be the one?
Each year, the Club reaches out to the community to ask for its support. The “It Just Takes One” campaign is part of the fabric of the more than 5,000 Boys & Girls Clubs worldwide, a call out to our communities to recognize the good the Club does and to help contribute to its success.
The Club relies on our community, the community relies on us.
The Boys & Girls Club relies on a combination of grants and corporate and private donations to serve nearly 13,000 kids annually in the Truckee Meadows, Fernley, Ely, Winnemucca, Panaca, Tonopah, and Lovelock areas. The nominal fees the Club charges – annual $20 memberships, field trip fees, etc. – don’t touch the “real cost” of providing these critical services.
The “It Just Takes One” fundraiser keeps our 58 locations ready to serve the community. It also helps keep nearly 13,000 youth and teens safe, contributes to 79 new and renewing scholarships annually, and so much more.
